Seat Back Release

The seat back release on the passenger side isn't releasing when I lift the wooden knob; it moves a little but not as much as the driver's side equivalent. Before I start pulling things apart can anyone offer some guidance on how I get it working it again? All help appreciated

Mine had slipped out of the hole at the bottom and was getting jammed. The release mechanism is down by the adjustment wheel, just moving the material and some of the foam at the back of the seat out of the way got me sufficient access to get in and reposition correctly.
