Elite interior with lighter coloured wooden panels

There's an Elite that's just come up for sale with very nice looking interior - probably the best I've seen on an Elite. The dark panels have been replaced with a polished wood that's a little lighter than the veneers that were used in Excels.

For anyone that's interested, have a look before the ad disappears: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing ... d%20search

Sorry - I still haven't taken the time to set up a Onedrive account so I can post pictures.

That's how it should've looked out of the factory. Much better.

A key feature for me is the consistent use of chrome trim around the border of each panel which 'picks up' the chrome around the instruments. The lighter real wood panels make the chrome 'pop'.

I don't normally like aftermarket steering wheels in the Elite (or Excel), but this time the steering wheel looks integrated with the re-trim.

Seats and door cards are fabulous too.

Apart from the centre panel labelling, it all just 'works'.👌

Shame about the engine bay, mind you!

That does look like a nice car. Tidy under the bonnet, paint the bumpers black and off you go!
