A bit pricey for me but it will be interesting to see what it bids to.

1975, so the engine lacks the updated E cams of the 1976MY. I'd find a cold air box and a belt guard ASAP. The front rad spoiler is missing ... This effects cooling AND aero balance (lift).
Stylistically, I get the black rear quarter window frames ( and rear hatch), but they need powder coating properly in black, at least. The blacked out frames give the side profile a more coherent appearance matching the door frames and shows off the roof ss strips better than std.
Wheels are surprisingly well chosen. Suits the car. I still prefer black bumpers though. Interior needs tlc.

Still there -

Quite a modified car.
The first thing that struck me was (as said above) the lack of front spoiler - clearly removed by someone who has no clue about the reason it was put there (against Chapman’s desire not to have one).
Some mods not done that well - dash a bit hacked to fit equaliser.
No airbox
No waist trim
No internal rad panel to direct air to bonnet vent.
Front seats - not sure what they’re from
Not a fan of colour coded bumpers
Wheels - surprisingly not that bad, but prefer original.
Painted lower window trim - if done well could be ok (but these look poor) as I believe this is how Ollie originally designed it.
Let’s see what it goes for.

I think the vendor is going to be extremely disappointed with the hammer price

The estimate is for how much money needs spending on it!

Exactly what I thought . Hammer price £7500.

That’s a very strange estimate for such a molested example. Does the seller have input on the estimate or is it a flawed estimate by the auction house? In my opinion even the hammer price was very high for what it is and it looks like it wasn’t accepted.

The more I look at this car the worse it gets!!
Appears front and rear bumpers have been bonded to bodywork and then painted, so not chance of removing to restore to black without cutting them off.
Love the “ The interior has stood the test of time reasonably well for a Lotus. “
Except front seats aren’t Lotus and 2 big holes in driver’s seat!!

I quite like the wheels - not too big, & a nice deep dish, although I'd be concerned the offsets could be wrong.
The other mods are distasteful, but there's nothing that couldn't be corrected. It's not as bad as that Excel that was for sale recently, with the 90s door mirrors.
