Having bought LED sealed bowels to change from the old style lights , Ive hit a problem the old lights work perfectly but when I plug the new LEDs in the full beam doesn't work on the passenger side, I swopped the LEDs over over still the same side doesn't light up. Ive changed to a new connector on the passenger side , still the same. put the old lights back in . all works perfectly. Any ideas ???

Are both connectors pins orientated correctly, in that blue/white and blue/red go to same pin each side?

I can't answer the question... but I've very interested in the outcome of the swap. As I use my car for commuting year-round, I could really use some better headlights, mine are pretty pathetic. And the lower current draw of LEDs must be a good thing too - I've replaced most of my other bulbs with LEDs already. What headlamps did you get, where did you buy them, are they complete units including the reflectors or is it just a new bulb?

I'm interested in this too, although I have pretty much decided I will get the PNM kit at £160 + VAT. Keep us updated, Pete.

I upgraded my X-Type Estate with replacement LEDs recently (entire units - not just the bulbs). £500 on a car that's worth £1500 on a good day, but it's money well spent. I'd had a couple of night driving near misses prior to the upgrade.

Where I live, the roads are normally too busy to properly enjoy during the daytime, & my most enjoyable drives are after dark, so good lights are essential for me.

SO interestingly, the wires where mixed up. However the old bulbs worked fine for years, it was only when I changed to the LEDs it seemed to play up. so thanks again. All in working and looking a bit modern, they are clearly much brighter and light up the garage in away the old ones didn't lets see if they improve the night vision.

Sixty quid seems pretty reasonable if they work well. I take it they fitted into the existing mountings well enough? Although that might be an issue, I think my original mountings may be largely rust with very little metal...

No you need new mounting ring, land rover part I think, you also need to trim the fiberglass also, but its easy use the old ring as a template and cut away the material inside of the existing ring with a multi-saw

I can't help specifically on OneDrive. I use Google Photos, and the same method works for plenty of other places (Facebook, other forums). I just right-click over the photo and select "Copy Image Link", then paste into my post here with the {img} {/img} bits around it (but square not curly brackets).

You have to navigate to the photo via the my files option not the pictures option to get the embed link

I can't see the pictures on the thread but if I quote your post I can navigate to the picture via the address.
