The good news is, "The rolling 40-year exemption for classics will stay in place following rumours it would be scrapped."
Although I won't benefit until 2027. Let's hope the exemption will still be in place.

Hmmm... I remember when my MG BGT first qualified, back then it was 25 years not 40. Funny to think that that car was, at the time, the same age as an early New 'MINI' is now, it felt a lot older.
Still, it looks like petrol will be going up 5p/l by next autumn - good thing our cars are a bit more frugal than some other sports cars of the era...
