The Lotus Grand Tourers

Somehow I managed to snap one of the lugs off a velocity stack when putting a nut on with my fingers. Either I'm a damn sight stronger than I think or it had fatigued through. Anyway I'm after a replacement and was wondering if anyone had one?

I might - I will have to dig out spares and look.

Look at the fracture, if it is completely shiny and clean it was you. If part of it looks polished or dull it points to you finding an existing defect

Dull and granulated. Looks like it's been failing for a while.

Have you got one yet - if not I just found a hidden stash and there is one in there

Will you be going to the NEC ?

Jb welded it, not ideal but will see if it holds. Will be at nec if i win the Facebook competition!

I think Lotus calls them inlet trumpets, also known as bellmouths. I believe velocity stack is the modern name, or maybe it's an americanism?

Well i didn't win so won't be at the nec and the jb weld didn't hold. But once i burn the residual and re-bond it will until the next time i needs the airbox off. So ok short term, can yo please pm me to see prices addresses etc. ta.

OK, that sounds likely. I think we've had quite enough of 'americanisms' though. Witness the recent mess we're in . Personally, I'll stick to trumpets
