Hi, This is my first post. Hello everybody.
I will be at Donnington on the Saturday looking to hopefully see some excels for sale.
I am looking for an SE with leather and possibly with aircon. The lower the milage the better. It must also have good history.
If you are not going to Donnington then please pm me with details of your excel se that you have for sale.

It will be at Donington, for sale, and is an excellent example.

The hunt for an Excel is now over

After looking at cars and talking to people at Donnington on the Saturday,
I very nearly headed north to Weatherby to view a red Excel with 65k 1989 red with tan interior. It was peeing down. I decided not to go as it would mean another 200 miles to my already longish journey.
Well, Sunday I searched pistonheads site. The rest is history. 1990 red SE,
18300 recorded miles now sits in my garage

And to top it all off, it was 30 miles from my house. It is a minter.
Will venture out in it soon, and definately will be at 60th Lotus aniversary.
Anyone in or around Cambridge?

I am located in St Ives and work in Cambridge and currently use mine once a week although it does not really like the crawl into central Cambridge of a morning.

I saw your car advertised but just can not understand how anyone can own such a car and not drive it! Looks excellent

Simon, My Excel was owned for 10 years by a chap (second owner) that was in the armed forces and (so I was told by previous owner) spent a lot of time out of the UK. He only done 2800 miles in 10 years. The car was serviced once a year by HHC. I am now the fourth owner.

I remember that number plate .. I also remember drooling over the car at Castle Combe, probably around 2 years ago. It looked stunning.
