The Lotus Grand Tourers

just wondering if anyone had mused over being able to add the above to the excel?

Having researched a little it seems that Traction control is not too difficult at all, as there are a couple of companies out there offering kits / parts to do it for track purposes.

ABS on the other hand, seems to be a dead end, but most cars systems are seperate from the ecu, especially the early ones (presumably for safety purposes), so do you reckon its possible with the appropriate sensors, pump, control unit and a bit of plumbing?

I'm not so fussed about traction control, as generally the answer is to lift off the load pedal, but ABS could be a worthwhile addition..

To be honest the experiences i have had with ABS especially in snow and on the rubber expansion stripsin the wet on bridges i wouldnt bother, more trouble that its worth, in fact i would go as far as Bloody dangerous

If you're running standard brakes then why not look into uprating them first? Also, tyre choice is important in braking ability so depending on what you are running and what age they are and condition they are in, it might be an area you wish to look into first.

Regarding uprated brakes:- Lotusbits HiSpec conversion would be my preferred choice. AP Racing kits are available through SJS and another HiSpec kit is available through PNM. Other options are there in addition.

Good luck with things. (Racelogic traction control is very nice by the way!).

The big problem is that the discs dont have exciter rings, so, no pulse, no life. !!!
