Finally got my headlights working. Posted a previous thread explaining that I could only get side lights and after changing dim / dip relays and fuses it turned out to be a loose wire along the steering column and now they work fine. Problem is that the main beam blue dash light doesn't and it used to (before all the probs).
Any bright ideas!

Yeah
Checked the bulb . Current up to the socket is dead and I can't see any wiring issue although I could have a painstaking go at testing all connections and wiring for current. I wondered whether there was something else could have missed like that it is on a seperate relay that I may have to double check for contact....?
I have no wiring diagram to help and should really invest in one.

Re: Full Beam indicator dash light
The main beam warning light is fed from the beam changeover relay in the passenger footwell. That wire goes to the instrument harness connector (pin 7) and from there to the bulb. The bulb earth is again via the instrument harness connector (pin 14). I'd start by looking for 12v at the instument harness connector. Hope this helps. (BTW I'm looking at the wiring on an 89 MY).
