Dash Switch Althernatives
My '89 SA has a broken rear fog light switch. A previous post indentified these as being from an Austin Maestro but having purchased a second hand one on ebay I can definitely say that it isn't.
I should have looked more carefully at the picture because although the central icons are indentical the Maestro/Montego dash switches are square and the switch from my Excel is rectangular. Since then I have searched for an alternative from all the BL cars of that era but although they look very similar every one that I have seen is square. Does anyone know which other vehicles would have the same dash switches as were fitted to the Excel?

Maestro & Montego were facelifted in 1987/88 - are you sure the switch you got was from the right year ?

Re: Dash Switch Althernatives
I looked at the SD1 switches but the front face is curved and has the wrong connections. I purchased a late Maestro Fog Switch which is certainly not the correct one. There is an early Maestro Fog Switch on ebay at the moment and although not the same as the late switches it too is square so that one isn't correct either. Any other ideas?

The magical incantation "Lotusbits" hasn't been made yet - they must have loads of reclaimed instrument panels.
