Hi
Having sold my excel of 11 years ownership to the right person (ie a true enthusiast) I'm still turning up odd items I accumulated. Not very often replaced I know but I've two of the metal window bases that are bonded to the glass to permit the motor to raise/lower the door glasses. Both still highly plated and no rust. £5 for the two plus about £2 for UK postage.
The other item- a bit rarer I imagine. It's the black plastic "end cap" (can't think of another way to describe it) that screws (is riveted?) to the end of the door and covers the end of the rubber strip that sits along the top of the door adjacent to the glass- presumably to deflect water from the innards of the door. Unobtainable apparently- according to Paul Matty et al. No damage to the item. Matt Debbage who bought my car can rest assured if he reads this- it won't fit his since I made custom ones from grp.
Not trying to extort money from other enthusiasts but I'm asking £5 plus postage (probably less than £1 within the UK).
The item is for the driver's door only as they're handed.
Regards
John
