When searching Ebay try the "by distance" filter, you may find your old one being flogged! (Then you can pop around and reciprocate!)

Seriously at least they didn't damage your car. A lot of old style badges are bolt on but I just use a blob of sticky gunk so at least it's just the badge that goes, not a lump of glassfibre.

What the..... :x It's not even like they're worth much :? .

FWIW Jerry mine is a 1990 and its got a yellow and green badge with the new 'Lotus' font. Pretty sure Lotusbits or SJs will sort you out but then you probably knew that already

Really makes you wish there was a way to get back at these low lifes

Does this help

The image is not too focused upon the front badge, but it's from a 1992 SE, so it might help.

The official Lotus part number for the green/yellow badge is A089U1816F.
Still available at a list price over £80 (yes really).
Try Lotusbits for a deal.

The Excel front badge was also fitted to, amongst others, the 340R.
Do not go for the newer Elise badge; they are plastic, not enamel, and don't last well.

Are you sure about that part number? According to my price list A089U1816F is the "triangular" badge, post-Wickins, with the ACBC logo used from 1986-88. An 89 Excel should have the circular badge with the latest typeface.

There is a copy of my history of the various badges here: http://lotus-europa.com/causer/badges.html

Mike, I am sure about the number.
The quoted part number was taken from the Service Parts List dated August 1991, recently re-published as indexed pdf file to Lotus dealers/Service agents;
section 12.05a. It is the same as the online service parts list provided through Spav.

Prior to '85 MY C079U4607F Black and Gold (illustration ref 25)

these are the Wickens badges
85 - 88 MY A089U1550F Green and Gold, also used on B post; (illustration ref 26)
A089U1610F Black and Gold, also used on B post

Later round badge
89 MY on A089U1816F Green and Gold, also used on B post. (illustration ref 26a)
I know a dealer who has this in stock; it is as fitted to mine.
Celebration and 92 MY this was also used on the rear boot panel.
