I've already purchased the ally gear knob and seat knobs (I think i was the guinea pig as I waited 6 months for them. ). Unless anything has changed since I received mine (3 weeks ago) the seat knobs don't fit without quite major work. For some reason they are threaded, not push fit and the hole is completely the wrong size. I ended up twisting of the original fitting with molegrips, partially filled the new knobs with soft wood and then glued them on to what was left of the lever. Not really what I wanted to do but I couldn't see any way round it.

On the plus side they look absolutely fantastic, they look very OEM but also very classy and modern. They are polished to an almost chrome finish. I'll post some pics shortly.

Does anybody know, are the wood one's no longer available?

The original wood ones are not available new. I did wonder if it would be worth putting my old wood gear and seat knobs on Ebay, the lacquer has cracked but I'm sure they could be refinished by someone who knows what they're doing with wood.

I have wooden gear knob - free to a good home.

And a couple of carbon seat knobs (modified from wood knobs) - also free to good home
