The Lotus Grand Tourers

I had a little bump last week and went to order some paint but apparently I'm not giving a correct paint code. Looking at the service notes the paint code on the VIN plate is nothing like anything listed. Below is a picture, what am I missing????

I could be wrong, but I think Vulcan Grey has a paint code of A67. (Hopefully an adult will be along in a minute who knows for sure! )

Vulcan grey is A67. Damn fine colour!!!

I've been buying from auto-paint.co.uk and it is a good match.

I was expecting to see A67 some place on the VIN plate not IAMB. Is something missing from the VIN plate?

I think yours has been replaced. Mine is metal and has the details stamped in. It is riveted to the body by the four rivets that i can see around your plate. It gives the paint code as A67. They could of course gave changed the style if vin plate??

Having just searched other forums, the later type of vin plates were laminated like yours, so it should be original.
