Air Con relay

Can someone advise the layout of the relays on the 1985 Excel. I don't think my air con relay is working as I can't get the air con to clutch to activate. I have put power directly onto the air con pump on the engine and the clutch works.

According to the parts manual, it's relay number 10 - second from bottom in the bank next to the fuse box in the driver's footwell.
All the relays in that bank should be the same type so a quick test simply involves swapping it for one of the others which is known to be good (the one below it is for front fogs, btw).
