Various bits wanted for a 1984 Excel

Post by p6rob »

Hi,

The rebuild is continuing, all beit slowly a the moment. It seems every job gets so far, then yet more bits need buying.

At the moment I'm looking for:
a headlamp motor, it's for the right hand headlamp, though I don't think they are handed.
Clutch master and slave cylinders
Left hand door latch as fitted to the door beam
Indicator/horn/main beam stalk. Preferrably one that works. It's not the Toyota one.
Passenger side window frame.

Car is in Birmingham but I work in Coventry so can travel around the Midlands to collect if necessary.
Please get in touch with price etc if you can help.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Headlamp motor is, IIRC, TR7

Window frames are in the club shop, between the hens' teeth, rocking horse manure and unicorn tails for now. I'm *still* working on getting someone to make a batch.

Hi, I have a pair of window frames in good condition, they would benefit from a re paint but are solid, would probably sell them for £50 each with the glass,
I'm sure I have the latches for the door beams, £10 and I might have the indicator stalk also, but would have to check, these items are of of an Éclat 2.2, if you message me you email address I will send you some pictures of the items.
Regards Dan

Thanks, just bought one off ebay.
It took a while to get the NS motor to work, just needed a bit of cleaning to the brushes and comutator. The OS one however is burned out, the magnets have parted company with the housing and the windings have lost their insulation. Looking at it It's a wonder the car hadn't gone up in smoke.
