Window to door frame brush seal

Just wondering if anyone knows what the height of the brushes/pile between the inner door to window is?
SJ part number B089V6166V. Steve says these are obsolete now and have been on back order for 4 weeks already.... just waiting on a response from Mike but the chances are they are sold out too.

Distance between the door frame fibre glass to glass may help also.

I want to start making headway on this so will be looking at ordering an alternative shortly whilst out to sea.
I have options of 7mm, 12mm or 15mm pile.

Cheers in advance

Hi Keiran,
I've been working on my door panels recently and I would say go for the 15mm option. The brushes compress easily and if your door panel / window relationship is the same as mine the depth of brush required to provide a good seal varies quite a bit along it's length, requiring i would say at least 10mm -12mm to meet the window in te middle. The brush seal provides a lot of wind noise and draft reduction so I would say it would be better to have it a little tight in parts rather than the other way round.

Hope that helps

Shaun

Exactly that point is why I am looking at it. Secondary seals also along the door frames.

Did you re-use the originals or did you an alternative supplier? There were never any on Ethel so none to recycle.
The replacement one I am looking at is "the hairy worm"

Cheers Shaun, that does help. Likely to be the 15mm I head for.

Edit with update: I bought the 15mm. The site says it should cover from 10-14.8mm so plenty of scope there.
