A,B & C Pillar covering

Post by paulsx »

Hi all,

About to start on the interior of my newly aquired excel and going to have a go at the headlining first. I have noticed that the covering has fallen apart on the A, B & C pillar trims as well. My real question is what are they covered with? The B & C trims look like the same stuff as the headlining but the A pillar trims look to be covered in leather same as the dash.

Also is the dash made up of sections? The rectangular bit that forms the glove box is very distorted on mine and I m trying to avoid changing the whole dash if possible

many thanks for any help

Paul

passenger side cowl can be removed by undoing 4 screws in the glove box, the drivers side after removing the instrument panel.
hope this helps

I think you may be right about headlining used to cover the B and C pillar trims on the Eclat Excel.

I had the headlining replaced on my Elite. The pillar trims on mine were all original leather. I also had the cant rails covered in matching leather which makes for a nice contrast with the headlining (dark blue and pale grey respectively on my car.)
