I've been collecting Lotus books since there were only two, I think I have almost every one since. These Robson volumes stick in my mind because the first chapter in both are totally identical, lazy and at the expense of unsuspecting buyers, put me right off. Otherwise well worth a look. Mind when I got them they were around £20 the pair, and were an expanded version of his earlier book, "Third Generation Lotuses", at £8.95, better value. Times change. Jeff.

.................depends what u can get Angus...............

on ebay some items never sell even tho they are worth far more than their asking price, some rubbish sells for a high price, and some things are valued far more than you originally think. ive seen Lotus books sold by private sellers for a few quid, dealers seem to get away with a much higher price - dunno why that is, and sometimes they jus never sell at all.

car books and brochures seem to come in and out of fashion with buyers strangely....................a few years back i sold tons of a life time collection of car brochures on ebay easily for very good money. now no one wants the same ones that i sold for top prices.

i think the days of ebay are numbered in general tho. :D

very best regards.
DC.

im not sure as i havent seen all editions. but tbh as enthusiasts i think most Lotus car followers know the models, history, and mechanical foibles inside out by now dont you ! :D

perhaps we are all hoping to find some NEW Lotus info or pictures which there is very little of apart from the latest models.

what would be very interesting - would be a truthful story from Mrs Chapman. that WOULD be an eye opener im sure......................

something i feel would be a great addition to Lotus material and info would be as many models as possible covered by owners filmed and put on Youtube. not bragging oh i have this or that model but great shots of the car all round, engine bay, interior etc saying how long theyve had it, how they got into Lotus cars, their dreams and ambitions restoring it etc.

or is that part of an idea i have for British classic sporting cars for a tv programme series ive always wanted to do........................

regards all
