It was great to see the stand there. The stickers are not on the car yet, but don't worry they will be soon. It was also great to see so many Excels in the parking area. I was parked next to 2 others.

Hi Chris, the display boards were excellent and easy to use. As you can see I put the revised poster in the middle.
Thanks for all of your efforts with those items. I have the boards and posters at present. We can sort things out later.

Thanks to everyone who organised the stand - and the Birthday Cake!

It encouraged me to give the car it's longest run under my ownership and it didn't miss a beat.

It was good to put some faces to the usernames.

Huge thanks to all those who put the time and effort into making the stand a success. The idea to give a Polo shirt to Mike K was an inspired idea. The weekend raised the profile of the Excel yet further. As ever it was good to put faces to 'authors' and make new friends.

A grand day out - especially if you got there early enough to beat the jam! Factory access and displays were all very good I thought.

It was great to see the forum stand well turned out again (As Bill said: really nice birthday cake too!), and to have a chinwag or two with some of the other forum members; Angus, BillB, Alan, Tanz, Phil of POD... er, okay, who have I forgotten?

I'd just like to a huge THANKYOU to all of you for your support and help. I think the Hethel weekend may have been the busiest we've dealt with and we seem to have confirmed in the minds of several prospective owners that they need Excels now - we should see an increase in membership soon.

Now, the bad news - we only have ONE polo shirt left (but plenty of T shirts).

I'll post up an analysis of the finances sometime this week, but I think we've covered all costs and possible produced a small surplus so far.

I've also had an idea for a couple of Excel European trips for 2009 and 2010 - more coming soon

(We're also the Club Lotus & LCI favourite club - because we were the only ones with cake

Hi

What a great time I had meeting everyone who was at hethel, by the way RobB it was Dave of POD

Phil on his way home from France as Hethel clashed with his wedding anniversary , I too enjoyed the birthday cake

Did anyone else wander around the cark park I've never seen so many Lotus cars in one place

nearly every road type ever made , must have been over a mile long X 4 rows , cars parked side by side .
I took pics will try post soon as I have time , Angus what happened to the group photo (sunday) was looking forward to seening it POD

I agree Sunday was a grand day out and that it was good to chat to some of the faces behind the usernames. To have such unhindered access to the factory was a treat. I was chuffed I was even able to sit in the APX concept.

Thanks to everyone who managed to attend and to Angus for producing the top-notch Excelnet polo shirts. They were so popular that the photos.look like they could have been taken at an Oswald Mosley gig !
