Hi
I've had my Excel parked up for a couple of years having lost my umph following a door beam change.
I wanted to move it the other day but couldn't get the ignition key to turn.
I'd never used the car since buying, so I am not that familiar. I do recall that you maybe had to push down the steering lock button?, but that didn't help as it dodn't seem to move.
Daft question I know, but is the lock jammed, or is it me that's forgotten how to do it?
Thanks

Re: Stupid question - cant turn ignition key
It has a standard steering lock as per most cars. The button is just to take the key out. It may well have seized, so a good spray with penetrating fluid may help.

You could try turning the steering wheel side to side just to try to knock the lock slightly.
