Once the engine crane had removed the block from the car, I had to somehow get it back to my garage. My car is too big to fit down the side of the house and get to the back garden where the crane and Lotus was, and the crane was never going to be pushed uphill on the grass with the engine still dangling away underneath. So.....
.... the idea came from a work colleague, "chris, your girlfriends car is only small - her Micra is bound to fit down the side of the house, just use that as a dolley!"
Job done! I don't think the rear suspension liked it, but the car only had to go 20m at most.
