Yateley May Fayre

Post by tonypoll »

I'm a member of the Yateley Lions and this year we are having a car show at our May Fayre on the 7th May, 2018.
You are welcome to join me with your classic car. There is no cost of entry.
Any classic car is welcome, not just Lotus!
See http://www.yateleylions.co.uk/mayfayre.html, and email enquiries@yateleylions.co.uk for an entry form.

I've helped with the Fayre for many years and it is always very well attended, so bring the family. Lots to see and do.
Yateley, Hampshire, GU46 7RP

Any question, just ask me.

Tony

Shaun - gets my vote.
However, I'll be 'on duty' all day: putting up and taking down marques, matching lost children with anxious parents, directing car parking, clean-up etc. :D

I am going go loose a lot of money this week because I cannot operate in extremely low temperatures so I have decided to take a weeks holiday instead. This means that I will not be going on holiday in May and a Saturday has become free. The only good thing is that I can now free up that bank holiday Monday! :D

That was a rather long way to say that I will now be able to attend.

Very excellent.
Please excuse the poor grammar, but I needed to enter at least 20 characters!

Everyone, of course, are very welcome to attend, and if you want to reserve a parking place in the display area please email enquiries@yateleylions.co.uk.
No entrance fee.
Else, there's lots of general parking, but you will be asked to donate £1 to the local Yateley Lions charity.
I'm usually on general car parking duty - so if I see an Excel I might double the fee...only joking :-)

Bit of a scorcher - nearly 30C - so Jim, Shaun & myself had to retreat for a long lunch under the trees where it was much cooler!. Unfortunately Tony was helping at the event and was unable to escape - but he was still alive last time I saw him!.

A small classic car show at a large Event but there was a wide range of different vehicles on display including a very nice Europa. A lot of stalls and entertainment mainly aimed at children and thousands of people in attendance. An enjoyable day with good company.

Sorry I couldn't join you, but I had to take the mine off the road in readiness to replace the door beam and window frame before the door parts company with the body! Martin.

Mark,
Thanks for the photos, and the support you all displayed for 'my' local fayre.
I did survive, but it was touch and go towards the end after a 12 hour day:-)
See you next year,

Tony
