It's been discussed on other Lotus forums (not your specific font of interest) and the general consensus seems to be that Lotus always used a custom font, and quite possibly only the letters of interest, drawn as a graphic, not as a font.
I went to the online parts manual, in section 12.05a there are black & white line drawings of the various decals and metal badges used, including the ones on your car Oz. I zoomed in on a few individual letters and submitted them to this site and the tool attempted to recognize them but they weren't good matches. FAIL.
I used to have a couple of font editing & creating software packages but it's been a long time since I used them. I'm sure a local graphics shop will be able to knock something up for you. Suggest you use those images from the parts manual.

...............used to work in graphics. cant remember the 'font' name but it is a standard typeface its just Lotus overlapped a few letters and stretched one or two. quite common. look under 'Letraset' and 'Mecanorma' typefaces as used by graphic artists in the '80s. regards. DC.

What about the banner to this forum? Looks pretty close. Presumably drawn up using a font of some sort....
