Windscreen

Post by Richy B »

Anyone know a good, reliable windscreen fitter, in the north east, spoke to Lotus Bits and their fitter is down Devon.

Doubt he would travel up to Durham

TIA

How urgent is it? I need a screen but it ideally needs to be done after paint which is a while off.

Thinking about doing the journey to Lotus Bits in the next few weeks to have windscreen fitted,
I did ask if they could post a screen up to BBS to have it fitted however Lotus Bits are not posting Windscreens due to too many being damaged.

Think it would be a worth while trip to Coventry...

Anyone been, its about 3 1/2 hours from Durham I know that, whats if like to find?

TIA

Thanks fitz, already putting a list together of things to sort while there, any idea how long it would take,
planning to do the journey there and back in a day with windscreen and a few bits.

not sure to be honest - you're looking at a long day, when i picked my car up from them it took me a good 2.5 to 3 hours to get across from Norfolk. I'd give them a heads up first to make sure the bits are ready so you're not disappointed! There are a couple of lovely pubs close by to have a nice lunch before heading back - the boys down there will swear by the local cafe - i didn't try it but may have to if i'm up again.

Keep the number in your phone as well - they'll happily talk you in if you've got a little lost.

That is only achievable if

a) you keep your eyes closed and don't let anyone take you "upstairs" to where the shiny things are kept
b) you take cash and only cash. No chequebook, no credit or debit cards, no stamps, no premium bonds, no post office savings certificates, no milk tokens, nothing else which can be exchanged for shiny things in any way whatsoever once you've reached your budget

;)

Enjoy.

Personally i would take two days, other wise it is a very long day. I am sure mike would suggest a few B&Bs to stay at, and maybe take you to their local, both pub and Indian restaurant...very nice...........but beware i lost two days of my life as we consumed just about all the wine in the world when we were there............
