It was great to meet so many fellow Excel owners at Donnington. Thanks to Mick and Mutley for arranging to meet up and sorting the car parking. I'll just post a couple of piccies as I know there will be a lot more. Cheers, Chris

As already said abolutely fantasatic to meet you all yesterday. Real shame it was so cold. My first picture on the internet, already posted by Chris.

Left the hotel this morning - soooo tempted to go back, but had to get home for the kids.

Hopefully see a few of you again at Castle Coombe.

Really must sort out how to do this picture posting malarky!

The journey home to Scotland was faultless the now fixed heater being much appreciated - Regards Graham PS defintely think Scotland is warmer than Donington!!

Do I win a prize for the dirtiest and most knackered Excel?

I'm pleased to report that thanks to Lotusbits I now have both headlamp pods going up and down.

While I was at it, I put in the window motor that's been under the stairs for 6 months, fettled up the driver's door lock so it works properly at last and I can now open the passenger door without the central locking throwing a blue fit!

Hi,

Had a great weekend, echo the thanks to the guys who organised the meetup. Seems like everyone has taken the same photos but what the heck, I'll get some put up. I've put the 72 up because it is such a lovely car!

Made a weekend of it as well. Rather than blast back up the M1, went cross country and over the Humber Bridge and up the Yorkshire Coast then back across the Dales to home. Was a good run with a good pub meal!

Sorry that I didn't get to speak to the other guys from the North East, maybe next time?

Keith

Ace Cafe Lotus meet is 3rd Thursday each month, so the next one is 20th April. It might be warmer then!

ARGH .. seems like I missed everyone! We didn't arrive until around 1pm saturday, and there weren't many Excels around on the sunday - well, not with owners nearby anyhow ..

Oh well, hopefully Castle Coombe will be a bit warmer!

I picked up a spare heater fan assembly from Mike (lotusbits), and have transplanted that and the resistor pack so now I have slow fan speed again :-)

Was anyone here around on sunday? Notice an Excel with half the lacquer missing - sandwiched between two much tidier examples?!
